Hobbit Homes

I’ve been looking at some homes that are really neatly entwined into nature. Hobbit homes are something special, where the structure is built partly underground, completely covered in grass. I could very easily see the moose and beaver in this type of home, surrounded by what they are naturally used to.

One thing I love about these houses is the cramped interior space. In most cases these are built as sustainable homes for people who love to live simply. There’s not any room for things they don’t need. I’m going to focus on a small confined space for the design of the environment, as with small space living there is a lot of room for creative storage solutions and adaptation to meet the needs of the homeowner (moose and beaver) is essential.
